Dawn Kline is the owner and operator of

Much Ado About Cake. After considering a career in the culinary arts, Dawn pursued a more traditional education, earning a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Rochester and a Master’s degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo.


By day, she works at Syracuse University as the Director of Advising in the Whitman School of Management.  Her evenings and weekends are dedicated to making special cakes for weddings, events, and celebrations of all kinds.  She believes quality, creativity, and originality should be the hallmark of any dessert and provides each client—and each order—with individual attention to ensure that happens.
